This policy explains what information SoftCaptain collects, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. SoftCaptain is run by Orviko (dba SoftCaptain). In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Orviko (dba SoftCaptain), and "you" means the shop owner or staff member who uses our website or software.

1. What information we collect
We collect only what we need to give you the service.
- Account details: your name, mobile number, email address and password (stored in a scrambled form we cannot read).
- Shop details: shop name, address, district, trade license number if you give it, and your staff list.
- Business data you enter into the software, such as products, stock, sales, customers, dues and expenses.
- Billing details: your plan, invoices, and whether each payment succeeded or failed.
- Enquiry details: what you write in our contact or enquiry form.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept in server logs for security.
2. Card and mobile wallet details
We never see or store your card number, PIN or mobile wallet password. Online payments are handled by SSLCommerz, a licensed payment gateway in Bangladesh. SSLCommerz tells us only whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference.
3. Why we use your information
- To create and run your account and your shop in the software.
- To send you invoices, payment receipts and reminders.
- To give you support when you email us or send an enquiry.
- To answer your enquiry and show you a demo.
- To keep the service secure and stop misuse.
- To follow the law of Bangladesh.
We do not sell your information. We do not show third-party advertisements.
4. Your business data belongs to you
The products, sales, customers and other records you enter belong to your shop. We use them only to run the software for you. Our staff may look at them only when you ask for support, or when needed to fix a problem or keep the service safe.
5. Where we store information
Your information is stored on secure cloud servers run by our hosting providers. These servers may be outside Bangladesh. Connections to our website and software are encrypted (HTTPS). Only staff who need access for their work can see your information.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the service, and only what they need:
- Payment gateway (SSLCommerz) to process your payments.
- SMS and email providers to send you messages, invoices and reminders.
- Hosting providers that store our servers and databases.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your account and business data while your account is active. If you close your account, we keep billing records as long as tax and accounting law requires. Other data is deleted within a reasonable time after you ask us to delete it. You can ask us for a copy of your business data before you leave.
8. Your choices and rights
- Ask us what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct wrong information.
- Ask for a copy of your business data.
- Ask us to delete your account and data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Tell us to stop sending you offers. We will still send invoices and service messages.
9. Cookies
Our website uses a small cookie to remember your theme. The software uses cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Children
Our service is for businesses. It is not meant for children under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change is important, we will tell you inside the software or by SMS or email.
